Who do I contact with questions before the conference?
Business casual or professional attire. MWBEs come from all industries (construction, professional services, beauty, healthcare, etc.), so we encourage you to be professional yet approachable.
What’s the dress code?
We ask that all cancellations be made, prior to 7 days before the event and a replacement is to be given.
What if I need to cancel?
All attendees should be respectful and attentive and add value, not take away from your training. Should you have any issue, please let conference staff know.
What should I expect of the attendees?
What is expected of me as a facilitator?
Facilitators are asked to deliver interactive, engaging training sessions that provide real tools MWBEs can use immediately. Each Bootcamp session should include practical examples, exercises, or case studies relevant to small business owners.
How long is each session?
-
Bootcamps: 60–75 minutes
-
Fireside Chats: 45 minutes (moderated Q&A style)
-
Panel Discussions: 60–75 minutes with multiple speakers
We ask that you respect the schedule and allow time for Q&A.
What format should my session follow?
We recommend:
-
5–10 min introduction/story
-
20–30 min training content or presentation
-
15–20 min interactive activity, exercise, or case study
-
10–15 min Q&A
Will AV/technology be provided?
Yes. Each room will be equipped with:
-
Projector/screen or large display
-
Wi-Fi access
Please bring your own computer/laptop
Can I promote my business during my session?
You may reference your company and expertise as it relates to the training, but this is not a sales pitch. The focus should remain on delivering value to attendees.
What materials should I provide?
-
Bio + Headshot (submitted with your facilitator form)
-
Session Title + Description (1–2 sentences)
-
Presentation Materials (PowerPoint, handouts, worksheets)
